Canadian airplane crashes in sky killing two pilots

(MENAFN) Two pilots lost their lives after their single-engine aircraft collided midair on Tuesday morning in southern Canada, according to local media reports.

The incident occurred in the rural municipality of Hanover, located south of Winnipeg, the capital of Manitoba province, local police confirmed.

Authorities stated that both pilots were pronounced dead at the scene. Neither aircraft was carrying passengers at the time of the crash.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has been notified, and the wreckage of both planes has been recovered. Reports indicated that the collision happened during a training exercise conducted by a flight school.
